HOW I THINK
After building companies for a long time, you develop some opinions.
These are some of mine.
01
AI is changing what’s possible. I think we need to start thinking 10× faster.
AI is changing the constraints.
Research faster. Build faster. Test faster. Learn faster.
Don’t just make the old way slightly more efficient.
Ask what the new way should be.
02
Why do you exist and why should anyone care?
Start with why you exist and what you believe. Then explain how you help—and finally what you offer. Too many companies start with the what.
Inspired by Simon Sinek’s Start With Why.
03
Humans are the advantage. AI is leverage.
People set direction, judge quality, create, persuade and build trust.
Give AI structured context, useful examples and clear criteria.
Human feedback teaches the system what matters. That’s how research, analysis and execution become more useful as they scale.
“Eric’s innovative talent and experience at scaling businesses puts him at the very top of executive talents.”

Former Chief Marketing & Product Officer, Autodesk · Advisor to Yadle
04
Everything can’t be the priority.
There are always more things to do.
Find the one or two things that could really change the trajectory.
Then focus.
05
Get something into the world quickly.
See what happens. Your assumptions are often wrong.
Make it better.
Repeat.
06
Great companies need great stories.
People need to understand the story before they can believe in it.
Steve Jobs understood this well. Apple sold products, but the story was always bigger than the products.
07
Who reaches out matters.
Technology makes it easier than ever to reach almost anyone.
That makes trust, credibility and real relationships more valuable—not less. Warm introductions can convert better.
THE FOUNDERY LENS
Are we focused on the right things?
Do people understand why it matters?
Can we do it smarter and faster?
Where do people create the edge?
What actually needs to happen?
